Heidi Pope
Background
Heidi joined the firm in 2000 after more than six years with Howard Wright, one of Taranaki’s most dynamic and innovative companies. She became Manager in the Business Advisory services team in 2004 and was appointed Associate in January 2009. With her extensive experience in commercial and chartered accountancy Heidi is well equipped with a strong set of skills and knowledge to bring to the table for her clients.Heidi enjoys the work environment at Staples Rodway saying that the staff work hard and have great opportunities to grow “there’s a lot of support from the partners so it is an ideal environment to develop your career and grow as a person.”
Specialist Areas
Heidi’s specialty in the rural sector is a natural given having been raised on a dairy farm in north Taranaki and now living on a 10-acre lifestyle block with her partner. She is also one of the firm’s specialists in New Zealand International Financial Reporting Standards. Heidi’s knowledge in the area is crucial to many of the company’s larger clients who are required to comply with the standards when preparing financial statements for the public. And now she is adding more strings to her bow with a move into insolvency work.It’s this variety and scope of work that Heidi particularly enjoys, “my role and experience means I can cover a wide range of accountancy services for our clients – from preparation of financial statements and tax returns to budgeting, forecasting and business scenario modelling,” she explains.
