Carolyn Jackson
(BMS, CA)
Background
Carolyn joined the firm in 1992 as part of our internship programme while working towards her Bachelor of Management Studies at the University of Waikato. Upon graduation she joined the company full time and spent five years as part of the Audit team. In 2000 she embarked on the great kiwi rite of passage - the big OE - and gained further experience working in London for two years. When she returned in 2002 Carolyn found her real niche as part of the Tax team and has since developed to become one of the firm’s specialist Tax Consultants. Much to the delight of all staff, Carolyn was appointed a Director of the firm in 2011. Specialist Areas
Carolyn provides specialist Taxation advice and consulting services with a particular focus on Land Transactions, International Taxation, GST as well as general tax advice for all other areas. Alongside her tax role Carolyn also specialises in commercial restructuring, voluntary liquidations, amalgamations, share repurchases and issues. Personal Interests
Carolyn’s free time these days is focused on enjoying family time with her partner Craig and their boys, Brook and Camden, and daughter Addison. She balances a passion for good coffee and café outings with keeping fit and has also completed several half marathons in her social running career. And when time and opportunity are available Carolyn still has a passion for travel and adventure.
