Background
Andrew has nine years experience in Audit and Business Advisory Services backed by an honours degree in Accounting and Business from the University of Edinburgh. He began his career as an Auditor with a small to medium sized CA firm in Edinburgh, Scotland. After gaining several years experience Andrew decided on a change of scene and set off on his great OE. On arrival to New Plymouth in 2003 Andy took up a temporary role in the Business Advisory Services (BAS) team of Staples Rodway with the intention of a staying for a six month stint. Seven years on he’s now a well established member of the Staples Rodway team and was appointed to Manager in January 2009. Specialist Areas
In his role as Manager Andrew provides advice to Taranaki businesses on their financial reporting, taxation and general business operations whilst overseeing the development of other staff. Taxation has become a key area of interest and he has embarked on the Staples Rodway Taxation Programme to hone these skills. Personal Interests
Andrew relishes the lifestyle which Taranaki has to offer and has set roots firmly within the community. He has a keen interest in sport and will often be found rolling the arm over at the oval in summer or troubling defences for his beloved FC Western in winter. Andrew is passionate about his football club and enjoys his role as a player and committee member.
