Carla Grove

Background
Originally from South Africa, Carla immigrated with her family in 1997 and has called New Plymouth home since. She completed a Bachelor of Management Studies in Accounting at the University of Waikato then worked with Auckland firm Gosling Chapman to obtain her CA qualification. Since joining the firm in 2006 Carla has progressed quickly to become Manager in the BAS division and has recently taken on a lead role in the Smart Business Services and Financial Information Services team.Specialist Areas
Carla provides general accounting and business advisory services to a range of clients on their financial reporting, taxation and general business operations. In her role in the Smart Business Services team she deals with financial systems for small to medium enterprises up to larger corporate and multi-national companies. Carla finds the focus of this work particularly rewarding, “the work is more value-added” she explains “we can give clients the tools to gain more meaningful and useful information to make business decisions that benefit them”.Personal Interests
As well as juggling a busy career Carla is a mum to 18 mth old Miane, she enjoys getting outdoors to exercise and spend time with the family and friends. She also plays guitar, piano and tries to squeeze in a bit of reading when time and toddler demands allow.Carla also likes to use her skills and give something back to the community in voluntary accounting roles charitable organisations.
