Alison Turner

Background
Alison joined Staples Rodway as a graduate in 1991 before embarking on the traditional kiwi rite of passage, the OE, in 1993. She returned to Taranaki in 1996 with a broad range of experience from her accounting roles in the UK and Europe. In 1998 Alison took over management of the Stratford office and was appointed a Director in Business Advisory Services in 2003. Specialist Areas
Alison specialises in farm accounting and taxation, providing business and tax advice to a variety of clients, including companies, trusts, individuals and non-residents. During her time with Staples Rodway she has carried out various consulting roles for corporate clients in a number of industries including 12 months as acting Financial Controller for Olex Cables (NZ). Alison enjoys the diversity of a varied client base, “keeping a balance of a variety and challenging work is good for me and my clients”, she says, “I enjoy delivering service of value to our clients in a cost effective way”. Outside the office Alison has a voluntary position with St Mary’s School Board of Proprietors. She finds variety and challenges in her spare time in a very different role working on the family sheep and beef farm where she’s reported to be very proficient with a set of shears!
