Background
Robin began his career with Ernst & Young in 1972 undertaking roles in Jakarta and San Jose, California. He became a Director 1985 and co-jointly managed the withdrawal from Ernst & Young to become Staples Rodway in 1999.Specialist Areas
As the firm Audit Partner, Robin has client functional responsibility for Audit and Consulting engagements, Assurance Services and co-jointly Business Computing Services and Corporate Advisory Services. In these roles Robin provides consulting advice to Taranaki businesses including tax planning, information technology, budgeting and cash flows, feasibility studies, management accounting and costing, strategic planning and human resource consulting.Through his lengthy involvement with Maori Incorporations Robin has developed specialist knowledge of this area. He has also worked extensively with clients in commercial property, energy, manufacturing, engineering and professional services, agribusiness, finance and Not for Profit organisations.
Personal Interests
Robin’s commitments also extend into the wider community; he sits on the boards of Venture Taranaki Trust and Sacred Heart Girls College and is a member and Treasurer of the New Plymouth West Rotary Club. His passion for the arts has led him to take on further voluntary positions with Taranaki Arts Community Trust and The Dame Malvina Major Foundation.Outside all of that, on a fine day Robin might be found enjoying his other passion – cruising in his classic Jag E-Type convertible – a recently fulfilled boyhood fantasy!
