Blair McCallum
(Phase 1 CIMA UK)

Background

Blair holds a certificate of Business Computing (awarded with distinction) and has completed level 1 of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants qualification in the UK. He has worked in management accounting roles both in New Zealand and the UK, including a role which included responsibility for the European financial systems of a multi-national company.

Specialist Areas

Blair is responsible for the firm’s business computing services division. He specialises in assisting clients to get the right solution for their management information needs through system selection and tailored implementation.

Personal Interests

Blair has three children, his interests include being treasurer and a coach of a local junior rugby club, studying the Spanish language, skiing, fishing, scuba diving and slowly renovating his old house.

Blair has significant experience in :

  • Working with the owners and/or senior management to assist in the process of identifying the software and hardware needs of their business.
  • Effectively managing the implementation of software and hardware changes while minimising the disruption to the ongoing business.
  • Developing management reporting and business processes to ensure owners and/or senior management are receiving quality and timely financial information.
  • Operational experience in the energy and horticultural sectors which is of major benefit to a number of his clients.
  • Implementation and support of large systems including Oracle financials and SAP.
