Background

Aman Chand joined Staples Rodway in May 2000 in our client reporting services team after four years experience working in chartered accounting firms in Hamilton and Whangarei. Aman joined our taxation services team in June 2001 and provides a range of tax services to our larger corporate clients.

Specialist Areas

Aman specialises in all corporate tax issues, in particular international tax issues.

Personal Interests

Aman enjoys playing squash and table tennis, casual jogging and walking, music and the finer things in life (red wine).

Aman has significant experience in :

  • Assistance with year end tax planning and identifying tax savings opportunities
  • Providing consulting services on tax issues arising from your business or specific transactions, including identifying planning opportunities
  • Assistance and management of Inland Revenue audits or investigations
  • Preparation and review of tax calculations and returns of income, including effective management of provisional tax payments
  • Advising on implications and identifying opportunities from proposed legislative changes, including assistance with submissions on proposed legislative changes
  • Providing compliance and consulting services with the controlled foreign company (CFC) and foreign investment fund (FIF) regimes, including other offshore trading structures (Limited Partnerships, etc)
  • Advising and management of tax credits (imputation credits, FDP credits and foreign tax credits)
