Our courses

We offer scheduled, tailored and one to one courses - all facilitator led.
Depending on your requirements, these can take place in our training room or on your site. Scheduled courses are 3 hours in length and contain a maximum of six people. Content for group tailored courses is customised according to our client's specific business needs; this is particularly useful for organisations implementing new software to help get all employees up and running. For more individualised training one to one sessions are becoming increasingly popular to provide truly targeted results.

We usually find that the three hour courses are the most popular as they reduce 'information overload' syndrome and the time that a participant is out of the office.

Costs

Facilitator led courses
Three hours in length, $190.00+GST per person. Each person receives a comprehensive course manual, morning/afternoon tea and an attendance certificate.

Facilitator led tailored courses
Prices depend on topics to be trained, duration and the number of people attending the course.

One to One

Each hour is charged at $150+GST. We recommend a maximum of 2 hours per session. Students find it helpful to bring an example with them to work on. Course manuals are available at $38+GST each.

Not sure which level you are?

We have an online assessment tool that we can email to you to complete. This will provide an indication to which level of course is best suited to level of skill. We have a range of online assessments available at $35+GST per application.

Our fully equipped training room is located at Staples Rodway House, 109 Powderham Street, New Plymouth.

Our trainer

Ann England is a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) with over 17 years of training experience supported by a background in office administration and management. She has been training Microsoft Office applications since May 1998 and holds the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) status for Excel 2007, Outlook 2007, PowerPoint 2007, Word 2007 & Vista.

Getting to grips with new technology can be frustrating and daunting but Ann's combination of qualifications and experience mean she is able to relate to trainee's 'real life' workplace situations and provide practical training to suit individual needs.

 

Learning styles

It's widely accepted that there are three main adult learning styles – auditory (listening), visual (reading) and kinaesthetic (doing). We firmly recommend facilitator led courses as a good facilitator will use all three methods during the course to create for positive interaction between the student and the facilitator and aid the learning and retention of the course content.
