When you come on board at Staples, we want to make sure that you have all the tools necessary to slot into a corporate environment with as much ease as possible. When you start with us, we’ll put you through a week long induction that involves all graduates from every one of our offices nationally. This will cover off the technical aspects of your role, but also some of those essential soft skills like “how to dress for a corporate environment”, “professionalism at work”, “time management” and “file management”.

We’ll appoint you a “buddy” for the year that will be your point of call for all those questions that will crop up throughout your early days with us. This will be someone who has only recently been a graduate themselves, so they’ll be able to share their experiences and tips with you.

We offer regular in house training throughout the year, including training specialised to your Unit and particular needs. We have a very structured training programme in place which often includes training in Australia. You will also attend an annual National Training held in Rotorua each year that again gives you a mix of technical and soft skills to help continue to develop your career as a CA.

Getting the support I need to take me from University to Corporate
